An exclusive behind-the-scenes lighting and design experience
Beacon Trade brought a select group of trade customers behind the scenes of The Block 2026, offering an exclusive, interactive experience inside the contestants’ homes and an opportunity to discover the thinking behind the designs. Guided by the Beacon Lighting team who worked across the homes, guests explored five of the properties, hearing directly from the Lighting Designers who collaborated with the contestants and the Product Designers behind the products featured throughout each space. At each home, the team shared insights into the lighting selections, product stories and creative process, offering a closer look at how considered lighting and product design helped bring each contestant’s vision to life.

Design trends, insights and inspiration
The experience concluded in Lisa and Rosco’s home, where guests enjoyed drinks and canapés before joining Diana and Dave for a final guided tour.
Drawing on her expertise as Group Creative Director, Diana connected global design trend theory with emerging Australian design influences and the trends seen throughout The Block 2026. The session brought together insights from across the homes, exploring how broader design movements translate into the colours, finishes, materials and lighting choices shaping Australian interiors.

Celebrating award-winning product design
The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate an exciting milestone for Beacon Lighting, with the announcement that MFL Forge and MFL Axis had both won 2026 Australian Good Design Awards in Product Design – Hardware and Building.
The recognition celebrates the innovation and considered design behind the ranges, reinforcing Beacon Lighting’s commitment to creating products that combine functionality, quality and design.
